(12/13/99, 7 a.m. ET) - Filter's 1999 touring season ended last night (Dec. 12) at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium. The band is off for now, but in January it will join the Big Day Out festival tour in Australia. The band is enjoying success with its single, "Take A Picture," which sits at No. 6 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart. Filter's Richard Patrick tells LAUNCH about the inspiration for the song. "I got crazy on an airplane. I took my clothes off and went nuts. Rock star, I don't know. 'Hey Dad, what do you think about that? Are you proud of me? What do you think of your son now?' It's, like, it all has to go directly into the songs. These are the things that go into my head when I write. You know, life's chaotic and bizarre." Filter's video collection, Title Of DVD, was released last week (Dec. 7) and it features clips for "Welcome To The Fold," "One," "Hey Man Nice Shot," "Dose," "Stuck In Here," "Jurassitol," and the electronic press kit for its latest album, Title Of Record. It also contains live performances of "Stuck In Here," "Under," and "White Like That." To read a Filter feature, click here. -- Darren Davis, New York Got news tips, comments, or questions?
