Oscar Picks His Singers

(3/9/98) - Big belters will belt 'em out at the March 23rd Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences show, better known as the Oscars. Singing nominated original songs will be Michael Bolton ("Go The Distance" from Hercules), Trisha Yearwood ("How Do I Live" from Con Air, which won a Grammy last week) and 19-year-old Aaliyah ("Journey To The Past" from Anastasia). Smith, who wrote the music and lyric for "Miss Misery" from Good Will Hunting, will perform his song, and Celine Dion will sing "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic.
