Linkin Park Rules, 50 Cent Gets Raise, White Stripes & Cher Bow In Top Ten

(4/10/03, 3 p.m. ET) -- Linkin Park holds on to the Number One spot on the latest Soundscan album chart for a second week with its new album, Meteora; while rapper 50 Cent's former Number One album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin', moves up from Number Four to Number Two. The all-hits collection, Now That's What I Call Music 12, holds firm at Number Three. New entries in the Top 10 are the White Stripes' critically acclaimed Elephant stomping in at Number Six, and Cher's new anthology set, The Very Best Of Cher, arriving at Number Seven.
Linkin Park sold nearly 265,000 copies, giving its second studio album--not counting a remix release--total sales of more than a million, earning it platinum status. 50 Cent sold more than 174,000. Now 12 sold more than 166,000; the White Stripes managed 132,000; and Cher moved 122,000 copies.
The Top 10 is filled out by Celine Dion's One Heart at Number Four, Norah Jones's Come Away With Me at Number Five after 58 weeks on the chart, the Chicago soundtrack at Number Eight, Evanescence's Fallen at Number Nine and R. Kelly's Chocolate Factory holding at Number 10.
Other top chart debuts include country singer Chris Cagle coming in at Number 15 with his self-titled second album, while English pop star Robbie Williams, still trying to make a name for himself in America, lands at Number 43 with his new release Escapology.
