Cam'ron To Release 'Purple Haze' In August

(5/27/03, 5 p.m. ET) -- Rapper Cam'ron will release his fourth album, Purple Haze, on August 5. The set is the follow-up to the rapper's 2002 breakthrough set, Come Home With Me, which was certified platinum for sales of a million copies.

Cam'ron is presently promoting Diplomatic Immunity, a release by his group the Diplomats. The set has sold more than 297,000 copies since its release in March.

Fellow Diplomat, Juelz Santana, will release his debut solo offering, From Me 2 U, later this summer. The first single from the set is "Santana's Town."
