(5/30/03, 4 p.m. ET) -- A troublesome sore throat has forced Cher to miss additional dates on her current Farewell Tour. The singer's ailment lead to the rescheduling of her May 26 show in Uncasville, New York, May 28 show in Charleston, May 30 gig in Albany, and May 31 appearance in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Cher's publicist Liz Rosenberg said Cher's condition is worse than she thought. "She's been sick for about a week and she hoped she would get better, but it's lingered longer than she thought," Rosenberg told the Connecticut newspaper the Norwich Bulletin.
The singer's management has put together a new itinerary which will let the signer perform in the missed cities as soon as possible.
The singer's next show scheduled for Monday (June 2) at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.
Cher has been out on the road since mid-January.
