(11/10/99, 3 p.m. ET) - The crazy weather has gotten to Live singer Ed Kowalczyk--the band has had to cancel tonight's show in Detroit due to the frontman's chest cold.

A spokesperson for Live tells LAUNCH that this will be the only show the band will miss and Kowalczyk should be fine by Friday (Nov. 12), when the band is scheduled to play in Cleveland.

A statement on the band's website, www.live.cerf.net, says Kowalczyk's condition has affected his ability to sing, and he has been instructed by his doctors to take some time off. The band apologizes and plans to reschedule the show at a later date.

Live's tour runs through Nov. 21 in Upper Darby in the band's home state of Pennsylvania. Starting Dec. 1 the band will be off to Europe traveling to the Netherlands, the U.K., Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and Austria.
