(4/30/03, 1 p.m. ET) -- Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was instrumental in getting the band Cold a record deal, but over the last six years Cold had grown apart from him. Bassist Jeremy Marshall was asked if the band has learned from the good and bad moves Limp Bizkit and Durst have made. "We don't pay attention to him,” Marshall said. “I mean, Fred helped us out in a lot of ways in the beginning and then we... Through the course of growing--we've had a six year career already--and through that course of six years we've kind of grown apart with Fred. I mean, we still talk to him every now and then. You know, we're friends and all, but we don't really associate with him too much."
Cold's new album The Year Of The Spider is released May 13, and it features "Stupid Girl," which is rocketing up the Alternative chart. Limp Bizkit is currently re-recording its forthcoming album with its newest member, guitarist Mike Smith.
