(5/2/03, 1 p.m. ET) -- The forthcoming Jane's Addiction album, Hypersonic, has been pushed back to a July 22 release. Initially it has been scheduled for a June release. Hypersonic was produced by the esteemed Bob Ezrin, who has worked on some of rock's biggest albums.
Band leader Perry Farrell said that the group is very careful with burning CDs in the studio, to keep works-in-progress from leaking out via the Internet.
"Being that we all know how important it is to safeguard the demo CDs, we actually hand the CDs back and destroy them once we've listen to them,” Farrell said. “But, we keep things very, very close to our chest as a result."
The first single from Hypersonic will be "Just Because."
