Lit Get Animated For New Video

(4/24/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Lit will be in a Manhattan Beach, Calif., soundstage on Wednesday to work on the video for "Over My Head," the first single from the soundtrack to the sci-fi animated film, Titan A.E., and the first original track to be issued by the Orange County alt-rockers since the release of A Place In The Sun more than a year ago.

The shoot will feature many animation and motion-control techniques that will ultimately place the band in the same environment as the film itself. At one point, the band will be on what is being called the "asteroids set," which will create a sense of floating through space. A spokesperson for the band did admit to LAUNCH that the video will be "ridiculously expensive" to make.

Lit heads back out on the road later this week. "Over My Head" goes to radio in mid-May. The soundtrack to Titan A.E. will also features cuts by Powerman 5000, Texas, and the Urge; the collection is being executive produced by Glen Ballard of Alanis Morissette fame.
