(5/24/02, 5 p.m. ET) -- 3 Doors Down bass player Todd Harrell turned himself into the Jackson County Sheriff's Office after an alleged assault. He arrived at the station in Pascagoula, Mississippi on Thursday (May 23) answering a warrant issued by authorities for misdemeanor assault. He posted $500 bond. He will fight the charges.
Harrell held a party at his house sometime during the week of May 12 and allegedly hit partygoer Terry Alexander after spotting the man perusing the party with a tape recorder. The complaint, which was filed by Alexander at the sheriff's office May 17, states that Harrell knocked out one of Alexander's teeth. It also states that the reason the man had a tape recorder was because he has memory deficiencies due to an automobile accident.
Harrell is due in Jackson County Court in June. A date had not been set at press time.
