Third Eye Blind Not Worried About Third Album

(1/6/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Third Eye Blind's forthcoming album, now titled Out Of The Vein, is one of Modern Rock's most anticipated albums of 2003. LAUNCH asked singer-songwriter Stephan Jenkins if he felt any pressure making the band's third full-length album, which was initially titled Crystal Baller.

"I don't know," Jenkins said. "I really feel like we have the sound. I really do. I feel like this is the best album that we've done. It's really about editing down ideas--because there's so many."

Out Of The Vein is now set for release March 4, pushed back from mid-February. It's the follow-up to 1999's Blue and 1997's Semi-Charmed Life.

Jenkins will be in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel to talk about JVC Products at the South Pacific Ballroom on January 10. He'll be joined by Lisa Loeb, Tantric singer Hugo Ferreira, and rapper Warren G. Performances from the artists are expected, although Jenkins's performance was not confirmed.
