(10/19/01, 1 p.m. ET) -- Rapper, actor, and film director Ice Cube is set to release Ice Cube Greatest Hits on December 4. While the set will feature cuts from the albums Amerikkka's Most Wanted, Kill At Will, Death Certificate, The Predator, Lethal Injection, Westside Connection, The Players Club soundtrack, War & Peace, Vol. 1, and War & Peace, Vol. 2, it will also include two new tracks: "In The Late Night Hour," produced by the Neptunes, and "$100 Bill Y'all," produced by Rockwilder.
Ice Cube began his recording career in 1987 as a member of N.W.A. The group released the groundbreaking album Straight Outta Compton in 1988, a set that introduced the world to reality rap, which would later be labeled gangsta rap. After receiving substantially less than he expected as compensation for penning the bulk of N.W.A.'s early hits, Ice Cube left the group in 1989. The rapper went on to release numerous successful solo albums and one as a member of the Westside Connection, which also features rappers Mack 10 and W.C.
In recent years, Ice Cube has focused more on the world of film. He has appeared in hit films such as Boyz N The Hood, Anaconda, Three Kings, and Friday, and he also directed and starred in The Players Club. Ice Cube will shortly begin work on the third film in the Friday series, Friday After Next, and he can be seen in the forthcoming movie All About The Benjamins, which also stars Mike Epps.
The Ice Cube Greatest Hits tracklisting includes: "The N--ga Ya Love To Hate," "Once Upon A Time In The Projects," "Jackin' For Beats," "Steady Mobbin'," "My Summer Vacation," "Check Yo Self (Remix)" featuring Das EFX, "You Know How We Do It," "What Can I Do?(Remix)," "Bop Gun" featuring George Clinton, "Bow Down," "We Be Clubbin'," "Pushin' Weight," "You Can Do It" featuring Mack 10 and Ms. Toi, "Hello" featuring Dr. Dre and MC Ren, "In The Late Night Hour," and "$100 Bill Y'all."
