(1/24/02, 5 p.m. ET) -- C-Murder, platinum rapper and brother of Master P, who was arrested Friday (January 18) for allegedly shooting and killing a teen in a Harvey, Louisiana nightclub, has been charged with second-degree murder and defrauding of an innkeeper, according to a spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, where the rapper is incarcerated.
The artist, born Corey Miller, is being held on $1 million bail for the murder charges and $5000 for the defrauding charges at the Gretna, Louisiana facility.
Miller is accused of killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas after an apparent argument Friday at the Platinum Club in Harvey, Louisiana. Thomas is believed to have used a fake I.D. to enter the 18-and-over club.
Miller, reportedly, was not arrested at the scene; but later while at the New Orleans House Of Blues where he was allegedly disturbing the peace and trespassing--a criminal charge since he had previously been banned from the venue.
In August 2001, C-Murder was charged with attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon in Baton Rouge.
