Strokes Headlining Tour Dates Announced

(10/24/02, 10 a.m. ET) - The Strokes played Seattle's Paramount Theater on Monday (October 21), and the band had a special guest on stage--a cardboard cut-out of actress Sarah Michelle Gellar was on stage with the band for the first part of the group's set. The band just finished the Wyckyd Sceptre tour with the Donnas and Ben Kweller, among others. The tour wound down Tuesday (October 22) in Portland, Oregon.

The Strokes are currently between touring legs in support of their album Is This It, and are set to embark on a headline tour starting October 31 in Berkeley, California. The tour ends November 29 with the second of two New York City dates at Roseland Ballroom.
