Hootie & The Blowfish To Play Final Wetlands Shows

(8/23/01, 6 p.m. ET) - Hootie & the Blowfish will perform two shows at the legendary New York City jam-band club Wetlands, which is closing this fall. The band is slated to perform two shows there on September 5 and 6. Back in 1995, the band played their first-ever New York gig at Wetlands, before their album Cracked Rear View went on to become one of the biggest sellers of the decade.

Wetlands was legendary for hosting bands such as Phish, Spin Doctors, and the String Cheese Incident, but has lost its lease and must close down.
