(12/28/99, 12 p.m. ET) - As New Year's Eve 1999 approaches, authorities say all systems are go, as far as banking, air traffic, and other important industries that some fear would be affected by the turn of the millennium are concerned. Still, many folks remain a little scared. Lit singer A.J. Popoff isn't one of them -- he's going to be traveling the night before to get to the band's New Year's Eve gig in Vancouver.

"I'm not really thinking about it," Popoff tells LAUNCH. "If something happens, what are we going to do about it? But I know we're going to be in Reno the night before. We've got a big show there, and then New Year's Eve we're going to be in Vancouver. We're playing with Kiss. So that's going to be a big night, a big bang at the end of the year."

Lit recently taped an episode of the Pamela Anderson Lee television show V.I.P., which will air on various syndication affiliates in February (LAUNCH, 12/22). In the episode, Popoff gets kidnapped due to his association with a valuable Elvis belt buckle.
