Lit Frontman Has Indecent Exposure Charges Dropped
03/14/2000 6:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(3/14/00, 6 p.m. ET) - A North Carolina judge dismissed the indecent exposure charge against
Lit frontman A. Jay Popoff on Monday (March 13). The Mecklenberg County Court in Charlotte formally dismissed the charge brought against the singer following a Nov. 10 performance at the University of North Carolina, where Popoff was arrested for stripping down to his boxer shorts and exposing his manhood. The singer described the incident to LAUNCH. "I was just goofing off onstage," he said. "You know, it was just one of those nights that I had to entertain myself. It was one of those nights where the security was just being major hard-asses and making everyone sit down and making the crowd stay mellow. It was a little frustrating, so in turn I just sort of decided to have a little fun on stage," he added with a laugh. Lit is currently on tour with
Save Ferris. The band will play Wednesday (March 15) in Detroit. Here are the rest of the tour dates (subject to change):
