Gorillaz Go Ape With New DVD Set

(10/9/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- British animated group Gorillaz will release a two-disc set DVD, Gorillaz Phase One: Celebrity Take Down November 19 on Virgin.
The release features the band's five animated videos for the songs "Tomorrow Comes Today," "Clint Eastwood," "19/2000," "Rock The House," and "5/4" in 5.1 stereo surround sound. The songs first appeared on the group's 2001 Virgin debut, Gorillaz. There is also a presentation of the original storyboards and work-in-progress footage by Gorillaz art director and co-creator Jamie Hewlett.
In addition, the set includes a documentary, Charts Of Darkness, five animated shorts called "Gorillaz Bites," multi-angle footage from the band's performance at the 2002 Brit Awards performance, an interactive tours of the group's official website and its animated Winnebago "tour bus," plus on-screen animation from various Gorillaz concerts and a gallery of group images.
A bonus enhanced CD in the package offers a selection of Gorillaz-themed games, wallpapers, screensavers, and stories on the band. A limited-edition DVD will come with stickers and a 48-page color booklet illustrated history of the four animated "band members," Noodle, 2-D, Russel, and Murdoc.
Gorillaz features Blur vocalist Damon Albarn, Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, and Cibo Matto's Miho Hatori. The group's current CD release is a remix set, Space Monkey Vs. Gorillaz.
