(10/8/02, 9:30 p.m. ET) -- Creed's Los Angeles concert scheduled for Tuesday (October 8) was postponed only hours before its planned start time while the group's next show, Wednesday (October 9) in Sacramento, also appears to be in jeopardy.
A note on the website for the Los Angeles venue, the Staples Center, called it a "postponement." Meanwhile, Creed's own official website (creednet.com), while not acknowledging the changed status of the Los Angeles date, did note that Wednesday's show at Sacramento's ARCO Arena has also been postponed.
Why the changes have been made remains unknown at press time. A spokesperson at Creed's label, Wind-up Records, was unable to provide further information. It also is unclear if further shows on the itinerary are affected. Through the remainder of the week, Creed is scheduled to perform on Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay on Thursday (October 10), in San Diego on Friday (October 11), and up north again in Mountain View on Saturday (October 12).
This is the second time this year that Creed has been forced to alter its tour itinerary. In July, the group canceled the second leg of its tour in support of Weathered after frontman Scott Stapp was injured in a car accident.
