Our Lady Peace Extends Summer Tour

(7/7/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Our Lady Peace's latest album Gravity is Number 31 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. The band hits the road in support of the album on Tuesday (July 9) in Columbus, Ohio with special guests Greenwheel and Ash. Audiovent replaces Ash starting July 25. Dates for the tour are now scheduled through August 21 at Cleveland's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Our Lady Peace singer-songwriter Raine Maida told LAUNCH that Gravity's songs are perfect for the stage thanks to producer Bob Rock. "We play a lot of the new record, just because it translates so easily," he said. "Because it's just the way Bob records stuff. It just works well, live. It's just so easy to play, live. I think we're playing seven or eight of the new songs. It ends up being a long set when you throw in all the other records."
The band's set draws on its four other albums, including its first, 1995's Naveed. That album includes the band's first Modern Rock hit, "Starseed."
