Bow Wow Says Working With Fabolous Was Fun

(7/2/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Bow Wow takes on the lead role in Like Mike, which hits theaters on Wednesday (July 3). The rapper plays the role of Calvin Cambridge, an orphan who finds a pair of magical sneakers and becomes a star in the NBA.

In addition to the movie, Bow Wow is also featured on the Like Mike soundtrack, which came out on Tuesday (July 2). Bow Wow teamed up with Fabolous, Jermaine Dupri, and **Fundisha** to remake Kurtis Blow's early '80s hit "Basketball" for the soundtrack.

Bow Wow recently told LAUNCH what it was like to hook up with Fabolous. "It was fun, man," he said. "I'm glad that we can have Fabolous participate in something like this. Being a part of Like Mike soundtrack, it was big. We had Fundisha as well--Jermaine's new artist that y'all should be aware of--myself and Jermaine Dupri, so there's a lot of things going on there. And besides, I already shot the video, which is Number One on (BET countdown show) 106 And Park."
