Aerosmith's Tyler Surprises Calling Singer On Stage

(6/12/02, 5 p.m. ET) - Aerosmith frontman Stephen Tyler joined the Calling onstage for a cover of his group's classic, "Walk This Way," earlier this month at a radio show in Miami. The June 7 appearance at the National Car Rental Center was a birthday present of sorts to Calling frontman Alex Band, who introduced Tyler to the crowd as "a bum they had found on the side of the road."

The Calling is currently on the road in support of its gold-certified debut album, Camino Palmero. The group plays Thursday (June 13) at the Sangamon County Fair in New Berlin, Illinois.

Tyler and Aerosmith, meanwhile, head out on the road with Kid Rock and Run-D.M.C. for more than 40 dates, beginning August 13 in Holmdel, New Jersey.
