Godsmack, Staind, & Aerosmith Win Boston Music Awards

(4/12/02, 5 p.m. ET) -- Godsmack, Staind, and Aerosmith were the big winners at Thursday night's (April 11) Boston Music Awards held at the Orpheum Theater.
Godsmack was feted for outstanding rock band and vocalist Sully Erna took home an award for male vocalist of the year. Staind took home act of the year and single of the year for "It's Been Awhile." Aerosmith won album of the year for Just Push Play and video of the year for "Jaded." Punk band Dropkick Murphys also won two awards.
Other winners for the 15th Annual Boston Music Awards included former Letters To Cleo vocalist Kay Hanley, American Hi-Fi, Carly Simon, Reveille, and former Extreme singer Gary Cherone's new band Tribe Of Judah.
