Natalie Merchant Set For Tibet House Benefit 2001

(10/26/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Natalie Merchant has been confirmed for the 11th annual Tibet House benefit concert at New York City's Carnegie Hall on February 26. Joining Merchant is Emmylou Harris, and others may still be confirmed for the show in the next two months. The concert raises money for Tibet House to preserve Tibetan culture and also celebrates the Tibetan New Year.
Those who have performed at the Tibet House Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall in the past include Michael Stipe, Patti Smith, Bush guitarist Nigel Pulsford, the late Beat poet Allen Ginsberg, Philip Glass, and Trey Anastasio of Phish.
