Eve 6 Hangs On In The Top 50
08/11/2000 10:00 AM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(8/11/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Eve 6's second album, Horrorscope, remains in the top 50 of the Billboard 200 in this, its second week. The album sold nearly 34,000 copies last week, according to sources. However, Horrorscope did slip several positions down on the chart, from number 34 to 43, suggesting that the album's success might face a greater challenge than did the Los Angeles trio's self-titled 1998 debut. Drummer Tony Fagenson looks to keep it all in perspective. He tells LAUNCH about the band's earlier days, when they learned to deal with the ups and downs of being in the music business. "It's hard when you're on the road 'cause you're in the whirlwind of it all and you can't really gauge how important certain things are," he says. "Everything is kind of an equal level [of] importance, whether we got a flat in the van or our song jumped to Number One. It's just like, they're all worries or thoughts for the day. But after you've kind of reflected on it a bit, it's like, wow, we're sort of in the business now and we're doing what we want to do." Eve 6 remains on the road in Canada this week as part of the Summersault 2000 tour, which also features the Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Deftones, and others. They play tonight (August 11) in Toronto. -- Neal Weiss, Los Angeles
