Beenie Man Says 'Tropical Storm' Is An Album For Everybody

(9/12/02, 6 p.m. ET) -- Grammy Award-winning reggae star Beenie Man's latest album, Tropical Storm, continues to do well on the pop chart. The set is Number 30 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and has sold more than 115,000 copies in the three weeks since its release. The set features guest appearances by Janet Jackson, Lil' Kim, Sean Paul, Baby Cham, Tanto Metro & Devonte, and Lady Saw.

While the lead single, "Feel It Boy" featuring Janet Jackson, is an uptempo pop teen-summer-fling song, Beenie Man told LAUNCH that the remainder of the set has something for everybody. "It's an album for the kids. It's an album for people that want party vibes. It's a nalbum for person that sit down and listen to music," he said. "It's an album for everybody."
