Filter's Richard Patrick Says He And Fred Durst Friends Again

(8/13/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Filter's Richard Patrick and Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst have finally settled their differences after a brief spat carried out via their respective band's websites.
Patrick told LAUNCH the whole incident was a big miscommunication. "It was," he said. "He prefers to go ahead and have arguments in the press. I don't. I have a private life and I like to not have to rebuttal against things that he says. All that being said, he's in a different world now. He's really trying to focus on the Limp Bizkit record, and I'm proud of him. We're friends again, and I email him all the time so it's a good thing. He's Fred and I'm Richard. (In British accent) We just have to be conscious of that, really."
The issue was first brought out by a comment Dust made to Playboy which was an old quote dissing Filter on Family Values.
Filter just released The Amalgamut, while Durst and Limp Bizkit are working on the follow-up to 1999's Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water.
