(5/7/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Live versions of Staind's "It's Been Awhile," Linkin Park's "One Step Closer," and Stone Temple Pilots' "Wicked Garden" are among the hits featured on The Family Values Tour 2001, out Tuesday (May 7) from Elektra Entertainment.
The dozen-song collection showcases five acts from last year's tour, also including Deadsy covering Rush's "Tom Sawyer" and a pair of Static-X tracks. Staind is represented on five of the tracks--the band's own "Fade" and "It's Been Awhile," a solo performance of "Black" by frontman Aaron Lewis, and guest vocal appearances by Lewis on STP's "Creep" and Linkin Park's "One Step Closer."
Staind drummer Jon Wysocki tells LAUNCH that Family Values feels like more than just another tour for his group. "It was like an event, you know? It was pretty solid top to bottom as far as the lineup goes. For the most part, I mean, it was just a good vibe, you know, with all the bands. The whole show top-to-bottom was non-stop entertainment, you know, from the time 'til the time you left. There's always something going on."
The complete track listing is: "Vasoline," Stone Temple Pilots; "Runaway," Linkin Park; "Fade," Staind; "Wonderful," Stone Temple Pilots; "Push It," Static-X (featuring Deadsy's P. Exeter Blue); "It's Been A While," Staind; "Wicked Garden," Stone Temple Pilots; "Cold," Static-X; "Black," Aaron Lewis of Staind; "Creep," Stone Temple Pilots (featuring Aaron Lewis); "Tom Sawyer," Deadsy; and "One Step Closer," Linkin Park (featuring Aaron Lewis).
