Shaggy, Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan To Peform In Canadian Benefit Concert

(9/20/01, 3 p.m. ET) -- Shaggy, Barenaked Ladies (from Toronto), Sarah McLachlan (from Vancouver), Gord Downie & Dinner Is Ruined with Julie Doiron, the Tea Party, Baby Blue Soundcrew, Treble Charger, Sum 41 (from Ontario), and others are set to perform and participate in Music Without Borders: A National Benefit Concert And Discussion Forum, hosted by the Canadian music-video channel, MuchMusic.
Music Without Borders will help to deal with the U.S. tragedy that took place on September 11, and it will originate from inside the MuchMusic Environment on Sunday (September 23) starting at 4 p.m. ET. The MuchMusic Video Awards were originally scheduled for Sunday, but were canceled and replaced with the four-hour, commercial-free event.
Music Without Borders will air live on MuchMusic, MuchUSA, MuchMoreMusic, Star! The Entertainment Information Station, Canadian Learning Television, and CourtTV Canada, with portions of the program airing on Canadian radio stations CHUM FM, Edge 102, and KISS 92.
