(9/9/03, 3 p.m. ET) -- Limp Bizkit's next single will be a cover of the Who's "Behind Blue Eyes," according to NME.com. Lead vocalist Fred Durst made the announcement after a playback of their new album, titled Results May Vary, in London. The band performed the song nightly during their stint on Summer Sanitarium 2003 as openers for Metallica.
"Behind Blue Eyes" first appeared on the Who's classic 1971 album, Who's Next. Fred Durst says he identified with the "melancholic, introverted" nature of the tune's lyrics.
Durst told TeenHollywood.com that he "gets to make out with" Oscar award winning actress Halle Berry in the clip.
Dotmusic.com reports that Durst lashed out at former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland during an interview before the band's London concert this past Saturday (September 6). Durst said Borland acted "like a f--king moron" by leaving the band. Borland left last year and was replaced by former Snot guitarist Mike Smith.
Later, during the show, Durst unleashed his wrath on pop singer and former flame Britney Spears. While introducing the song "Break Stuff," Durst told the crowd: "I can remember quite a few f--ked up days just recently, and I think I spent those days with that f--king bitch Britney Spears."
Less than a month ago, Durst said he had spoken with Spears about refraining from any further comments on their brief romantic relationship.
Results May Vary arrives in stores on September 23.
