Barenaked Ladies To Tour And Appear In Claymation

(4/5/01, 6 p.m. ET) -- The Barenaked Ladies have announced dates for their North American summer tour, starting July 12 in Toronto and running through August 25 in Clarkston, Michigan. The band appears with Vertical Horizon July 13 through 22, and the Proclaimers August 6 through 26.

Meanwhile, Barenaked Ladies will be appearing as themselves on the claymation UPN show Gary & Mike on April 13. The band recorded its voices to be synched up to the clay figures. The BNL members can be heard on the show commenting on their disastrous road trip across America.

Speaking of road trip, Blockbuster has the exclusive of the Barenaked Ladies documentary Barenaked In America, and it is currently available for rental exclusively through the video chain for three months. After the three-month window, the Jason Priestley-directed documentary will be offered for sale.
