(7/20/98) - It's been three years since the death of beloved Tejano singer Selena, but her life is being celebrated once again. Starting Tuesday, the Hard Rock Cafe will be selling a limited number of second-edition collector pins that will benefit the Selena Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding scholarships for students pursuing careers in the arts or entertainment.

"Encouraging and financially assisting youth that aspire to be arts or entertainment professionals was very dear to Selena's heart, and our family is dedicated to furthering that cause," Abraham Quintanilla, Selena's father, explained.

In April 1997, the first-edition Selena pin raised nearly $28,000 for the Selena Foundation. The pin sold out in record numbers and the Hard Rock Cafe in San Antonio, Texas sold out entirely in just two hours.

The second-edition pin is a replica of Selena's black Gibson USA guitar with a signature white rose. The pins will retail for $8 and can only be purchased at select Hard Rock Cafes in the following U.S. cities: Dallas, Miami, Houston and San Antonio. Phone orders will not be accepted.

Selena also continues to live on at record stores. In April, EMI/ Latin released Anthology, a three-disc boxed set of Selena's music. To date, it has sold more than 85,000 copies, which is an impressive number for a multiple-disc set.
