(11/7/97) - The soundtrack to the hotly anticipated Scream sequel, which is imaginatively titled Scream 2, will feature a few unexpected cover tunes in its otherwise predictable alt-rock track listing. Ska-punks Less Than
Jake have recorded a version the Partridge Family classic "I Think I Love You," New York City trash-rockers the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion have covered Dr. John's "Right Place, Wrong Time," and R&B smooth-talker D'Angelo has recorded a version of the Artist Formerly Known As Prince song "She's Always In My Hair." Original tracks are also being contributed by rapper Master P, shirtless heartthrobs Sugar Ray , and alt-rock radio darlings the Dave
Matthews Band , Collective
Soul , the Foo
Fighters , Tonic,

Perhaps the most fitting performer on the horror-movie soundtrack is the malevolent and brooding Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, whose foreboding "Red Right Hand" gets the remix treatment by the appropriately named DJ
Spooky . Both the Scream 2 movie and the soundtrack come out next month.
