Creed Sets Rare Chart Feat, Announces More Tour Dates
09/27/2002 10:00 AM, Yahoo! Music Brett Anderson
(9/27/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- With the success of its latest single, "One Last Breath," Creed has earned the rare distinction of being the only rock act to have had four songs in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in this decade, according to its label, Wind-up Records.
"One Last Breath," currently at Number Six, follows in the footsteps of the single, "My Sacrifice," which peaked in February at Number Four. Both songs are from the group's latest album, the five-times-platinum Weathered.
The song "Higher" climbed to Number Seven in July of 2000 while "With Arms Wide Open" became Creed's lone Number One single four months later. Those songs are found on the group's 1999 release, Human Clay.
Creed remains on the road in support of Weathered. The band has added eight new shows to its itinerary, thus extending its tour into November. Labelmates 12 Stones remain aboard as an opening act, while Default appears November 6-16 and Our Lady Peace is set for November 21, according to Creed's official website (creednet.com).
