3 Doors Down Plan Benefit Concert

3 Doors Down have announced they will play a benefit concert in Mobile, Alabama on March 27. The show's proceeds will go to children's charities along the Gulf Coast. Guitarist Matt Roberts, one of two band members with homes in the Mobile area, said the concert "is a very special thing for us because it's always great to give back to this city." Mobile's Mayor Mike Dow said he hopes the outdoor concert at Cooper Riverside Park will attract close to 30,000 people. The performance will be followed by a fireworks tribute to the armed forces.

3 Doors Down are in the midst of touring, and celebrated New Year's Eve with a concert in Columbus, Georgia.

Last month, they picked up two Billboard Music Awards, winning in the categories of Duo/Group Artist Of The Year and Hot 100 Duo/Group Of The Year.
