(8/23/02, 6 p.m. ET) -- Modern-rock newcomer TRUSTcompany is staying in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200 album sales chart with its Geffen Records debut album, The Lonely Position Of Neutral. In its fourth week, the release checks in at Number 33 on the list with more than 29,000 copies sold, down only five spots from the previous week.
TRUSTcompany, which hails from Alabama, is enjoying such success from afar, because it's touring Europe right now. The band was scheduled to play a show Saturday (August 24) in the Netherlands with Korn, and will hook up with them again in Reggio Emilia, Italy on September 1 for the first of 10 more shows.
TRUSTcompany frontman Kevin Palmer tells LAUNCH that he's thrilled to have the opportunity to play with a band that he counts as one of his biggest influences. "For us, it's amazingly huge because we're such a brand new band in this industry. To be able to open for a band like Korn is just, whooo, incredible. We can't believe it still. They're another band that comes off with amazing riffs that are just, like, 'Oh my God.'"
Palmer tells LAUNCH that there's a chance they'll also open shows for Korn back home in the states later this year. "That's not confirmed yet but we're crossing our fingers and hoping we can 'cause that would be awesome."
TRUSTcompany performs Monday (August 26) in Stockholm.
The Lonely Position Of Neutral features the single, "Downfall."
