C-Murder Arrested In Connection To Murder

(1/21/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- C-Murder (real name Corey Miller), brother of Master P, has been arrested by police in Harvey, Louisiana for allegedly shooting a 16-year-old to death at an area nightclub. Police say Miller fatally shot Steve Thomas at the Platinum Club after an argument on January 12. Miller allegedly killed the teenager with a single gunshot. There were 300 people inside the club when the rapper pulled out a gun and killed Thomas, according to police.

Prosecutors were unavailable due to the Martin Luther King holiday, so charges against Miller were not revealed at press time.

Miller was out on bail at the time of the incident. He was arrested back in August in Baton Rouge and jailed for attempted murder. Miller shot at the owner of Club Raggs. The problem started when a guard for the club attempted to search the rapper for a weapon upon entrance to the club.

C-Murder's last album, C-P-3.com, released in October, peaked at Number 10 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
