McDonald Goes Back to Motown

Vocalist Michael McDonald will on
Oct. 26 release "Motown 2," his second album of tracks made
famous by stars of the Motown label.
The track listing includes such favorites as "Reach Out,
I'll Be There" (the first single), "Baby I Need Your Lovin',"
"Nowhere to Run," "Mercy Mercy Me" and "The Tracks of My
Tears."
McDonald's first "Motown" volume was a left-field smash
hit, reaching No. 14 on the Billboard 200 and selling 1.29
million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen
SoundScan. It was his first album to reach the chart since
1990's "Take It to Heart."
The artist has 15 dates remaining on his fall schedule. He
also is confirmed for Wednesday's Ray Charles tribute event in
Beverly Hills, Calif., alongside comedian Bill Cosby and
artists Billy Preston , Gerald Levert, James Ingram and Angie
Stone.
