Colvin's Career Snapshots Collected on CD/DVD

A newly recorded cover of the
Beatles' "I'll Be Back" graces a hits package from
Grammy-winning singer Shawn Colvin due in stores Nov. 23.
"Polaroids: A Greatest Hits Collection" (Columbia) will
also arrive with a simultaneously released companion DVD,
"Polaroids: A Video Collection."
The CD compiles selections from Colvin's five studio albums
-- 1989's "Steady On," 1992's "Fat City," 1994's "Cover Girl,"
1996's "A Few Small Repairs" and 2001's "Whole New You." Among
the selections is her breakthrough "Fat City" single "Round of
Blues" and the "A Few Small Repairs" single "Sunny Came Home,"
which netted song and record of the year Grammys in 1997.
Along with her familiar videos, the "Polaroids" DVD
includes an alternate clip for the song "I Don't Know Why," as
well as the full original version of "Sunny Came Home." The
disc also collects collaborations with Mary Chapin Carpenter
and Bruce Hornsby , and performances from "Sessions at West
54th," "Austin City Limits" and "The Tonight Show With Jay
Leno."
