Matchbox Twenty Guitarist Leaves Band

Matchbox Twenty rhythm guitarist Adam Gaynor has parted ways with the band. According to Billboard.com, no reason was provided for his departure, but a source said, "The band has decided not to renew his services."

Meanwhile, the rest of the group--singer Rob Thomas, lead guitarist Kyle Cook, drummer Paul Doucette and bassist Bryan Yale--are currently working on solo projects, but promise to team up again for a new studio album.

Thomas's solo debut, Something To Be, is due out in May and will feature a guest appearance by John Mayer.
