Fat Joe Compares 50 Cent's to Victim

With his menacing stare and bulked-up body, 50 Cent hardly seems like a victim of abuse.
But Fat Joe, the recent target of a barrage of 50 Cent insults, says the best-selling rapper's reliance on battle raps and feuds is similar to the mentality of a battered woman.
"It's like a girl who's in an abusive relationship. She feels like no other man looks at her the same, no other man loves her, so she knows she's tired of getting beat up, but she don't wanna go nowhere else, because she's just scared," he told The Associated Press in a recent interview. "So even though he doesn't need (to battle) now he was going to sell records anyway he feels like, 'Yo, I gotta dis somebody, 'cause that's what made me.'"
Feuding has become a way of life for 50 Cent. He fueled much of his 2003 breakout success by attacking fellow Queens rapper Ja Rule, and he went on a rampage earlier this year against Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Nas and Shyne. He also sparked a nasty feud with his protege The Game, but called a truce on that one earlier this month.
Fat Joe says with all of 50's success, he can't understand why the rapper isn't in a more peaceful state of mind.
"I would trade my life for 50 Cent's in a heartbeat right now, and have my sneaker deal and $87 million last year, and go buy me an island somewhere," Fat Joe said. "I don't know what this kid is mad about."
