Toni Braxton is being released from
her current recording contract after just one album, sources
told Billboard.
The Grammy Award-winning R&B singer's latest disc, 2005's
"Libra," has sold 431,000 units in the United States, according
to Nielsen SoundScan. It marked her debut recording for
Blackground/Universal Motown.
Braxton, who logged the majority of her hits during her
tenure with LaFace/Arista, remains the resident headliner at
the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas, a gig she began last August.
