3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold is recovering at home after being injured in a one-car accident in Mississippi earlier this month. The Associated Press reports that Arnold sustained several severe lacerations and bruises to his face and is going to make a full recovery. Guitarist Todd Harrell said, "He has 35 or 40 stitches in the side of his face. He had a plastic surgeon come in and work on him, sewed his ear back on." Harrell added, "He's going to be all right. He was hit hard, though."
On the night of the accident, Arnold and his wife, Terika, were driving home from Mississippi's Silver Star Casino when their car hydroplaned, went down an embankment and then hit a tree. Harrell said, "I guess if Brad hadn't been wearing his seat belt, he'd probably be dead now."
The accident forced 3 Doors Down to cancel a pre-Super Bowl concert. The band has the rest of the month off and plans to tour Europe in March.
