Outkast have again denied they are to split up.
The superstar hip-hop duo have been the subject of constant speculation regarding their future, since before the release of 2003's Speakerboxx/The Love Below LP.
With Andre 3000 and Big Boi about to release the follow-up, Idlewild--which is a movie with accompanying soundtrack--the rumours have again surfaced.
However, Andre has insisted that Outkast remain active and will continue to be so, although they have no plans to play live together for the foreseeable future.
He explained: "Yesterday I got a phone call from Big Boi and he said that on some hip-hop web ites that the headlines were reading something to the effect of 'It's Official: Outkast Is Broken Up,' or something like that.
"N-ggas hit me in the street like, 'Yeah, man, I heard the bad news. Sorry to hear about that.' I'm like, 'Man, what are you talking about?' Everything is still tight, most definitely.
"We're holding it under wraps. We want to keep it on the low so expectations won't be a certain way. But we're still doing music," Andre told MTV.
Outkast release the Idlewild soundtrack album on August 21. The movie is due out on September 8.
