Mick Jagger to work with Scorsese

Mick Jagger is to make a film with Martin Scorsese, it has been announced.

The Rolling Stones legend and acclaimed director, who won his first Oscar earlier this week, will collaborate on The Long Play.

The movie is understood to be about two friends and their lives in rock music, reports the BBC.

The Long Play is the brainchild of Jagger, who will produce the film alongside his business partner, Victoria Pearman.

The screenplay will be written by William Monahan, who won an Oscar alongside Scorsese for The Departed on Sunday evening.

Jagger and Scorsese recently collaborated on a feature-length documentary about the Rolling Stones, which is in production for release later in 2007.
