Happy Mondays have announced plans for a full comeback, including live dates and their first new album in more than 15 years.
The "Madchester" legends are understood to have recently signed a label deal with Sanctuary Records and are nearing completion on a follow-up to 1992's Yes Please.
Shaun Ryder confirmed the news earlier this week, explaining that Howie B and Sonny Levine (Quincy Jones's grandson) are helping to produce the album.
Ryder claims the new record, which is due out in the summer, sounds "fresher" than the group's landmark 1990 recording Pills 'N' Thrills & Bellyaches.
He told British music magazine the NME: "I'm not the world's best salesman, me...I'm not a salesman at all. [But] I think it's a really great album."
