Arctic Monkeys love Beyonce

Alex Turner has spoken of his "love" and admiration for Beyonce Knowles.

In a new interview, the Arctic Monkeys star revealed he thinks the former Destiny's Child star has "a bit up there."

Turner has also said he is "very impressed" with Amelle Berrabah, who replaced Mutya Buena in British pop grouo the Sugababes.

Discussing Beyonce, Alex said: "I've always been a fan of Beyonce. I love her. She's got a bit up there, I reckon."

Meanwhile, speaking about Berrabah, he revealed: "I quite like the newest one. Very impressed. In that Comic Relief song, the Run-DMC thing, she raised the bar in that."

However, he then admitted to Q magazine: "We met them a couple of times but never chatted. We're dead shy."

Arctic Monkeys release a new single, "Flourescent Adolescent," in the U.K. on July 9, backed with new tracks "The Bakery," "Plastic Tramp," and "Too Much To Ask."
