Morrissey ended his show after 30 minutes at the Bank Of America Pavillion in Boston last night, having played just seven songs.
The ex-Smiths man was suffering a throat infection and despite making it through seven songs--including "The Queen Is Dead" and "The Last Of The Famous International Playboys"--he couldn't complete his planned set.
During the intro to "National Front Disco," the singer told the audience that he was ill, saying, "Unfortunately, it will not just be the emotions cracking tonight but my voice as well." After struggling through three more songs, he was forced to call it a night.
The singer has been told by doctors he must not sing for three days, resulting in the cancellation of a show tonight in Northampton, Massachusetts, and Friday's show in Philadelphia.
So far, Saturday's show at New York's Madison Square Garden is expected to go ahead as planned.
