Becki Newton Wants John Legend!

Becki Newton belted out "Gene Simmons Is My Daddy" on Ugly Betty when her character Amanda finds out the Kiss rocker is her father. And now she wants more. No, not another ode to Mr. Simmons, but Newton says she'd like to release an album "someday." And she wouldn't mind some help from an old college buddy from the University of Pennsylvania... "You know who I love the most—John Legend," Newton said last night at the Sunglass Hut and Gen Art opening of photographer Jeremy Kost's Blinded by the Light exhibit at the Century City mall in L.A. "I used to see him playing the piano and singing on campus." When a friend suggested she duet with Legend, Newton beamed. "That's a great idea! I should just call him up." Sounds like it's time for Ugly Betty producers to snag Legend for a guest spot. If Naomi Campbell could do it, Legend certainly can.
