Kanye West has tipped British musician Mr. Hudson to become the biggest artist in the world, comparing the London-based singer to Frank Sinatra.
In an exclusive interview that you can read in full in this week's issue of NME (out nationwide from May 6), the rapper revealed that in addition to producing Mr. Hudson's second album, Straight No Chaser, he wants to help the singer become recognized the world over.
"Mr. Hudson has the potential to annihilate me, and I will do everything to help him do that," West said about his new pal. "He's not going to make some of the mistakes that I've made, spazzing out and p*ssing people off. I think he's going to end up being a really cool Sinatra-type character."
Hudson (real name Ben), who releases the West-featuring single "Supernova" in Britain on June 13, added that he's up to the challenge.
Hudson said: "My first reaction was just to smile and say, 'Yeah, that's typical Kanye, exaggerating.' But maybe I'll prove him to be right."
